USE

BK-Bond is a highly adhesive primer primarily used to improve adhesion on smooth, poorly absorbent and problematic surfaces, such as ceramic tiles, smooth concretes and other solid compact non-absorbent surfaces. Water-diluted BK-Bond can also be used when applying skim coats, ceramic adhesives, self-leveling compounds, mineral renders, etc. , to gypsum cardboards or cement-fiber boards, anhydrite substrates, highly absorbent renders and other cement substrates. By application of BK-Bond, the residual dust is bound and the surface is equalized, thus achieving better bonding of the next layer to the substrate.

PREPARATION AND APPLICATION

Be sure to shake well before using BK-Bond. In case of poorly absorbent surfaces, BK-Bond is applied non-thinned, with brush or short-hair roller, usually in a single layer. The subsequent coats can be applied over thus applied primer after min. 6 hours of drying under normal conditions (23°C and 50-60% r. h. ), when the coating achieves scratch resistance. If used on absorbent surfaces, the product should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 3 (primer: water). Dilute the product, apply it with a brush, roller or spray in 1-2 coats depending on the absorbency and desired effect, using the wet-to-wet principle.

CONSUMPTION

Approx. 50-100 ml/m2 depending on the absorbency and use.
