PACKAGE

White cement-based adhesive with fast bonding properties, suitable for bonding all types of ceramic tiles, marble, granite, glass mosaic tiles, natural and artificial stone to wall, floor, and facade surfaces, exclusively on solid substrates (cement, lime, and concrete-based mortars), for both outdoor and indoor use. It offers excellent adhesion, high strength, and moisture resistance. Suitable for bonding on surfaces with pre-existing tiles as well as surfaces with underfloor heating. It can be used for paving pools and other structures filled with water within a system using the BK-HidroStop 2 waterproofing coating. It does not alter the natural color of the bonded material.

Preparation and application :

The substrate to which the adhesive is applied must be solid, clean, durable, non-frozen, and free from efflorescence, oil residues, or paint. Before bonding the tiles, it is advisable to apply the BK-Bond primer diluted according to the instructions to improve the adhesion of the adhesive. The preparation is performed by adding 25kg of powder to about 6.75l of water with vigorous stirring until complete homogenization. Allow the compound to rest for about 5 minutes, then stir again to obtain a suitable density of adhesive. Apply the adhesive using a serrated trowel with a suitable tooth size so that at least 65% of the surface of the tile is covered with adhesive (for interior use) and a minimum of 90% (for exterior use). The size of the teeth depends on the size of the tiles (4-6 mm optimal for tiles sized 10-25 cm). Press the tiles into the adhesive layer on the substrate, and if the surface is uneven or the tiles are of larger size, apply the adhesive also to the tile. The tiles should be laid while the adhesive is fresh (before a crust is formed). In the case of bonding marble and other types of stone subject to discoloration, do not immerse the lining in water at all, and it is advisable to apply a test application of adhesive. Application temperature :

Substrate and air temperature + 5 ° C to + 25 ° C.

Time for application after opening :

About 40 minutes after stirring, depending on the temperature. Fast-setting, ready for grouting with white grout after 8-10 hours of drying, and grouting with other colors at the earliest after 24 hours of drying under normal conditions (T=23-25°C, 50-60% r.h.).

Consumption :

About 3-5 kg/m2, depending on the substrate and the thickness of the application.

Shelf life and storage :

12 months in original packaging in dry room on pallets. The production date is printed on the packaging.
