Application

Cement mortar intended for machine and manual coating of exterior and interior walls of brick, block, aerated concrete, concrete, concrete slabs, etc. The product is characterized by high mechanical strength and good adhesion to the substrate, so this type of mortar is especially suitable for areas where increased humidity, toilets, basements, bathrooms, and kitchens.

Preparation and application

The substrate on which the mortar is applied must be firm, clean and dry, without loose joints and greasy stains. Closing holes, joints, electrical openings should be completed before plastering begins. In the case of walls built with a clay block and brick, as well as in the case of significant unevenness on the surface, it is necessary to apply a thinned plaster (syringe) beforehand. In the case of plastering concrete or other smooth surfaces, it is necessary to apply BK-Beton Kontakt on the substrate to improve the adhesion of the mortar. In the case of highly absorbent, porous substrates (gas-concrete blocks), it is necessary to apply BK-Nivelator on the substrate to prevent uneven drying and cracking of the mortar. Preparation of mortar is done by intensive mixing of powder with about 21-23% of water (about 6.5-7l of water per 30kg of powder). Apply the mortar by machine in a caterpillar thickness of a minimum of 10 mm and a maximum of 25 mm. In case of the need for larger thicknesses, it is necessary to continuously apply the mortar on the principle of fresh to fresh up to a maximum total thickness of 30 mm. The mortar is levelled with an H-bar after application. After some time, depending on the conditions at the place of installation (usually a couple of hours), the finishing of the mortar is approached with an adequate tool (scraper, piranha, etc.). The mortar must harden evenly. Direct heating of the mortar is not recommended. See the product data sheet for detailed instructions.
