DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE

Mineral powder intended for protection and decoration of interior wall surfaces (powder for “SPANISH WALL”). It can also be used as a first coat when leveling the interior substrate of rough mortars because of the possibility of thicker application in a single layer.

PREPARATION AND APPLICATION

The substrate to which render is applied must be solid, clean and dry, and if needed impregnated with BK-Podloga, in case of loose and absorbent surfaces. The preparation is performed by lightly adding the powder in about 38-40% of water (9. 5-10 l of water for 25 kg of powder), with constant stirring with an electric stirrer until complete wetting and homogenization. Allow the compound to rest for 10 minutes, then stir once more and, if necessary, add some more water to adjust the appropriate consistency.

The prepared compound is applied by hand stainless steel trowel in thickness from 1 to 3 mm depending on the desired structure and processing technique. A thinner layer allows for a finer structure while a thicker layer allows for a coarser surface effect. The surface with freshly applied compound is processed with a roller which is coated with fresh compound before processing (the type of roller also depends on the desired structure). Coat processing is also possible with other tools such as a sponge, brush and special types of relief rollers.

The air and substrate temperatures during installation should be in the range of +5ºC to +30ºC. Use prepared compound within 2 hours.
